    What is it ?

        This script allows for people using browsers that are RFC1867 compliant to
    upload files directly through their web browser to your server.
    Administrators can configure for each users where file will be uploaded.
    This script is ideal for administrator's who want to allow users to upload files, but
    don't want add a FTP account.

    System Requirements:

        - Perl 5.0 or newer; you can get it at http://www.perl.com/
        - A web server, you must have access to add / execute CGI scripts.

    Download current version

        Current version is v1.0, created 01/01/2000, last modified 01/01/2000.

    What this archive contains ?

        This archive comes with 6 differents files:
            1) COPYING:       Copyright informations (GPL).
            2) README:        This file.
            3) LISEZMOI:      French doc...
            4) upload.cgi:    upload script.
            5) upload.html:   HTML Upload form.
            6) password.txt:  Password file.

    Installation and Configuration:

        It's a Perl script, so installation is pretty easy. You don't need to
    compile anything.

    Copy *.cgi in your /cgi-bin/ directory.
        Copy *.txt in your data directory.
        Copy *.html in your web site.
        Make it executable, unix only (chmod a+rx *.cgi)
        Make writable data file, unix only (chmod a+rw *.txt)

    You will have to do some configuration:

    Edit CGI Scripts (*.cgi) and change #/usr/bin/perl, if it's
    necessary...

    Edit upload.cgi and change  "Necessary Variables Section"

            # Default upload dir, used only if you don't use password protect.

            # File sizes are limited to $MAX_SIZE_UPLOAD (0 No Limit), larger files
            # will return an 'Internal Server Error'.

    my $FORM_URL = 'http://www.yourdomain.com/upload.html';
            # URL of Upload form.

    my $WEBMASTER_EMAIL = 'you@yourdomain.com';
            # Webmaster  E-Mail.

    my $DISPLAY_LANG = 'En';
            # Fr, if you prefer french text.

    my $USE_PASSWORD_PROTECT = 1;
            # 1 to use password protect 0 else.
        my $PASSWORD_FILE = $DATA_DIR.'password.txt';
            # Name of Password file.

        Edit 'upload.html' and change look, but don't remove HIDDEN input and don't
        change 'input' form name.

    How to run it ?

        Use uploader:
            Goto 'form URL' or '/cgi-bin/upload.cgi' and try it..
            Default login 'member', password 'member' upload dir '/tmp/'.

    Use Administrative display:
            Goto '/cgi-bin/upload.cgi?ac=admin'
            Default login 'admin', password 'admin'.
            You can add, edit, or delete 'upload account'. for each users, you should
        give login, password, level (administrator / guest), upload dir.
